Five Verses of Encoragment

We all have things in our life that scare us. It could be the fear of failure, the fear of what others might think about you, or even the fear of getting back into a relationship after a bad breakup; but your job as a human being is to not let that fear stop you from reaching your highest potential. There is this quote I saw on Tumblr that actually inspired me to write this post and it said: “there are people less qualified than you, doing the things you want to do, simply because they decided to believe in themselves, period.” Don’t let discouragement cast a shadow on your light. Whether it’s to start a new job or head back to school, everybody needs that sense of encouragement. I mean I sure as hell do.

As a college student, I definitely wouldn’t be able to survive the sleepless nights and relentless work if it wasn’t for my family, scripture, and friends. See these are the things that give me solace in the midst of panic. And I think that it is so important to find people who genuinely want to see you grow. People you can be vulnerable with whenever you’re stressed. There is nothing wrong with being scared but it’s what you do with that fear that matters.

I know this is a new year and a lot of people are going back to school so of course, you have certain goals that you want to accomplish. I would like to share five of my favorite verses of scripture that give me courage.

Bible verses when you need courage

1.Joshua 1:9 “I’ve commanded you to be brave and strong haven’t I? Don’t be alarmed or terrified because the LORD your God is with you wherever you go”

2.Joshua 1:5 “No one will be able to stand up against you during your lifetime. I will be with you in the same way I was with Moses. I won’t desert you or leave you.”

3. Mark 9:23 ” Everything is possible for those who believes.”

4. John 16:22 “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

5. 2 Chronicles 15:7 “As for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”

I hope you not only read these words but find a community that will only fill you with strength and not weakness.

Don’t be scared to take the world on!
